Do I own the finished site?
Yes. A new site is set up in your business’s own domain and hosting accounts, and changes to an existing site stay in the accounts you already use. If we stop working together, the site stays with you.
What will hosting cost after launch?
You pay your domain and hosting providers directly, not me. The sites I build are light enough that hosting is often free or a few dollars a month. I’ll show you the expected yearly cost before you decide.
Can you work with the site I already have?
Usually. A focused improvement works inside what you have, whether that’s WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or something custom. If moving would save you money or trouble, I’ll show you the yearly cost both ways and set up redirects so your existing links keep working.
Will this put me at the top of Google?
No one can honestly promise that. I make your pages clear to search engines and AI tools, fix the technical problems I find, and measure inquiries before and after. Rankings also depend on things outside your website, like your Google Business Profile and reviews.
What do you need from me?
The facts about your services and service area, photos of your own work if you have them, and someone who can approve wording quickly. I write the first draft and you correct anything that isn’t right. I won’t add reviews, numbers or claims you haven’t given me.
How long does it take?
Plan on one to two weeks for a focused improvement once we agree on the scope, and three to six weeks for a new site. Most of the difference comes from how quickly content and approvals come together.
Who does the work?
I do. I’m Jake Bowser, founder of Ethoic Inc in Knoxville. I take on a small number of projects at a time and reply within one business day.
